SF 3830 is a medium viscosity reactive aminofunctional silicone fluid optimized to impart good softness to various fabrics. It offers durable, soft, grabby hand to broad range of woven and non woven fabrics.

Physical Properties:

• Silicone content: 100%
• Viscosity: @ 25C, cst 1500 – 2500
• Appearance: Translucent
• Refractive index @ 25C: 1.403 – 1.407
• Amine equivalent, meq/gm: 0.30 – 0.35

Application - Textile:

Softner SF 3830 has proven to be suitable for softening of cotton, silk, wool, polyester, PV blends, cotton fabrics and acrylics. It offers durable softening and enhances lustre. It can be emulsified to durable micro emulsion. This is a low yellowing product and requires no catalyst.

Typical Emulsion Formulation:

• SF3830: 20 Parts
• TDA 6 mole: 10 Parts
• Butyl Carbitol: 3 Parts
• Acetic Acid: 0.6 Part
• Water: 66.4 Parts

Emulsification:

• Charge SF3830 into the reactor. Mix for 10 min
• Add Butyl carbitol mix and TDA6 mix for 20 min
• Add acetic acid viscous grease will form.Mix for 20 min.
• Add water under slow and constant speed @ 60 min.
• Clear emulsion will form.

Storage:

• SF 3830 can be stored for approx. 12 months at temperatures below 50°C.

Packaging: 50 kg and 200 kg drum
